Custom Candle Packaging: Rigid Boxes, Inserts and Gift-Ready Finishes
A candle is heavy, fragile and bought as a gift as often as for the home. Its box has to protect the glass, hold the candle still, and look gift-ready without extra wrapping.
Start with the candle, not the box
A candle box fails in two places: the glass moves in transit, or the lid does not sit right. Send the candle diameter, height and weight, and whether it ships alone or as a set. That decides the insert and the box structure before anyone talks about print.
Rigid boxes for gift candles
- Grayboard wrapped in printed art paper, lid-and-base or magnetic closure
- An insert that holds the candle in place, so it does not shift or chip
- Foil stamping, embossing or soft-touch lamination for a premium feel
- MOQ from 200 pieces, production typically 18–25 days
Mailer and folding options
For a single candle shipped direct, a mailer box with a fitted insert can be the simpler route: it ships as the outer box, opens cleanly, and starts at 100 pieces. For a lighter candle on a retail shelf, a folding carton from 200 pieces is often enough, and it folds flat for freight.
Finishes that suit candles
Matte lamination keeps a candle box calm and premium. Foil on the logo or a soft-touch wrap changes how it feels when it is picked up. Spot UV works best as an accent, for example on a logo or a pattern, rather than covering the whole box.
